Florence Hoover Johnson, 

Executive Director

Responsible for overseeing and directing daily operations of the organization, supervising all staff, facilities management, and ensuring the organization meets its goals and objectives.

Maxine Gorten

Recruits new MAR members and maintains membership data; assists in completion of quarterly newsletter; and variety of administrative activities for the organization.

John Wakefield

Responsible for the organization's fiscal and legislative-related programs (i.e., developing and submitting legislative bills, analyzing legislative results and submitting recommendations for MAR action, payroll, accounts payable and receivables, and assisting with budgeting.

Amber Poland

Amber is the Benefits Specialist for the Maine Association of Retirees. Her responsibilities will include growing and maintaining the following programs: Northeast Delta Dental, Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale, Beltone New England, Denny’s and more.

Carol Cochran

Carol Cochran's title is Membership Assistant. She works collaboratively with the Membership Coordinator in the areas of recruiting new members and maintaining the records of all MAR members.

Sheila Jackson

Sheila Jackson holds the position of Staff Assistant. She acts as alternate receptionist, assists with recruiting efforts and keeps herself available to help any staff member with day-to-day projects.
